Is it just me or is it me?
Seems people around me are annoyed, on short fuses, brusk, and impatient. I feeling it a bit too. Just wondering if I am part of the group or part of the reason or both. Maybe it is time to send flowers and help others feel better, maybe even smile.
The White Stripes is my favorite band. I am bummed they split up this year, but I respect they went out on a high rather than over playing their music. This little song, Hotel Yorba, always makes me smile.
Karl, nah, I don't think it's just you. I'm seeing it, feeling it as well. I'm about to conclude the enemy has bought another round of subel advertising on TV, trying to do to America in 2012 what they did in 2000, and running into more resistence than they did the first time they used that trick. May not be true, but it makes a good conspiracy theory to use for a scapegoat.
ReplyDeleteCyranos, I agree. 2012 is going to be hard to live through. I am not much of a church goer, but I did give something up for lent. I gave up following the news as actively as usual. Unless I hear it from a friend, something I see in a blog, see on the occasional Daily Show, or see on Facebook, I am tuned out. I may need to keep up this practice past Easter. The poison in the world is hard on my spirit.
ReplyDeleteThink I'll have to side with Cyranos on this one. It's definitely not you. Despite my whole "risk" and "taking chances" themes on my blog recently, I too feel the onset of that same bug. I can detect similar symptoms from people around me as well. I think its just a derivative, or byproduct might be a better word, of the challenging times in this economy, shut down threats, rise in fuel costs, and the overall decrease in our take-home and discretionary income. Everybody's feeling the pinch and its makes people ornery. Kill'em with kindness, Karl!
